Teresa discusses the challenges and difficulty of finding indoor or outdoor places that caters to the needs of her son Ely, who was diagnosed with mild autism at the age of three. After visiting a “We Rock the Spectrum” location in Oakville, she and her parents were inspired to open a branch in Brampton. Teresa emphasizes the importance of having a space where parents don’t have to constantly explain their child’s behaviors. Her family aims to expand their offerings with more programs for children and support groups.
